I was so elated, blessed and privileged to be honored at my alma mater Texas A&M University as a part of the 1st Inaugural Class of the Aggie Impact Award. It was such a pleasure to be honored along with 8 other fellow Aggie’s that have made an impact in their communities and respective careers. As honorees we were given the opportunity to give a short speech regarding our time on campus as one of a very limited number of African-American students.
